Details
Owners who choose to have their automatic transmission serviced regularly, often see their transmissions last 500,000km.
This means having your transmission fluid checked for condition every year and having a transmission service done before the fluid becomes burnt or any poor running symptoms occur.
If your transmission already has symptoms of poor shifting or vibration, you should first begin with a transmission service before starting further repairs. It never guarantees a fix, but may improve the driving performance
Heat and driving causes transmission fluid to degrade over time. The filter will also become full with sediment from wearing components and oil solids.
An automatic transmission service replaces the old fluid in the transmission and torque converter, plus the internal filter and sump seals.
Minor, Major and Logbook services at Topco include a transmission fluid condition check, where a small amount of fluid will be drained and the condition inspected.
That way, you can be sure that your automatic transmission servicing is up to date.
